There Is No Success Without Planning

UUM ONLINE: The Member of the State Legislative Assembly for Bukit Kayu Hitam, Ahmad Zaini Japar, said that every success that an individual achieved was not born of wishful thinking, but of meticulous planning and unremitting hard work.

“There is no success without planning. In seeking success, we need to set our target in the crosshairs and invest all our efforts in attaining it, for it has been borne out by the experience of successful people that planning is integral to success.

“Every one of us has to use our God-given intelligence to find ways to succeed,” he said to his audience, comprising facilitators from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK), Baling, at the closing of the SMK Baling 2012 Motivation Programme, recently.

Nur Fatin Amelia Mahadi, a Fifth Form student of the school, said that the programme would prove helpful to her in planning a more effective study scheme as preparation for sitting the forthcoming Malaysian Certificate of Education examination.

“The valuable experience that I have gained over the past three days of attending the programme here, in the serene atmosphere of the campus environs, has greatly invigorated my spirit to endeavour in earnest towards pursuing my studies at the tertiary level. And UUM is where I intend to further my studies,” said Nurul Naudah Abdullah, a Sixth Form student of SMK Baling.

The programme was organised by the Bank Simpanan Nasional Student Residential Hall (BSN SRH), with the collaboration of the Alumni Association of SMK Baling. The programme, which ran from 5 till 7 April 2012, involved the participation of 420 students.

Among those present at the closing, which was held at the hall of the Telekom Malaysia SRH, were the President of the Alumni Association of SMK Baling, Alias Hamid, and the Principal of the BSN SRH, Shahrin Ahmad.
